Montessori Curriculum
We offer the Montessori core curriculum interlinked with the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework. It is designed to foster independence, curiosity, and a love of learning through hands-on, self-directed experiences. It typically includes:
Practical Life (Physical, Social, and Emotional Development (PSED) – Activities that develop fine motor skills, independence, and responsibility.
Sensorial (Physical Development and Mathematics ) – Materials that refine the senses and help children classify and understand their surroundings.
Language (Communication and Language, Literacy ) A phonetic approach to reading and writing, with storytelling, vocabulary-building, and literacy exercises.
Mathematics – A tactile, visual approach to numbers, counting, and problem-solving.
Culture (Understanding the World, Expressive Art and Design )– Exposure to geography, science, history, and the arts to cultivate an appreciation for the world and diverse cultures.
Special Curriculum Lessons
Music – Children engage in piano and violin classes that nurture creativity, enhance rhythmic skills, and build physical coordination—all within a joyful and engaging atmosphere.
Language – Weekly French and Nigerian language lessons help the children promote multilingual development through songs, storytelling, and playful learning.
Sports:– The children participate in fun weekly activities like football, mini basketball, dance, gymnastics, and obstacle courses to build coordination, creativity, and teamwork.
